Baseball Recap: Breck Gets the Win

Breck's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Blake Bears by a score of 17-13. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mustangs' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Ben Amato was a standout: he scored four runs while going 3-for-5. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Owen Van Horn, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4.

Breck's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Blake, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Breck will face off against St. Croix Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blake, they will take on Nova Classical Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
