Football Game Preview: Godwin Eagles vs. Deep Run Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Godwin Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Deep Run Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Godwin is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Godwin came up short against Thomas Jefferson and fell 24-17. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly seven points.

Meanwhile, Deep Run got themselves on the board against J.R. Tucker on Friday, but J.R. Tucker never followed suit. They blew past the Tigers, posting a 36-0 victory. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season.

Godwin's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Deep Run, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.

Godwin beat Deep Run 17-10 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
