Basketball Recap: Hayden Seaman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Desert Mountain over Arizona College Prep

The Desert Mountain Wolves lost 68-43 to the Arizona College Prep Knights on Tuesday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hayden Seaman, who posted ten points and five boards. Seaman has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Bella Aguirre was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Arizona College Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylee Aulds, who went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals Aulds has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Gruber, who scored 11 points and six boards.

Desert Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Arizona College Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Desert Mountain will square off against Chaparral at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Mountain is facing Chaparral at the right time seeing as Chaparral is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Arizona College Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Mountain Pointe at 7:00 p.m.
