Basketball Recap: Greenforest Victorious

The Greenforest Eagles didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Fox Creek Predators on Friday, but they still walked away with a 61-57 victory.

Fox Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Justin Vining and Kobe Sims. Vining shot 67% from the field to rack up 21 points, while Sims went 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points. Gavin Baskett was another key player, putting up seven points.

The win got Greenforest back to even at 1-1.

Greenforest will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Butler at 6:30 p.m. on December 6. As for Fox Creek, they will take on Brookland-Cayce at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
