Volleyball Recap: Louis E. Dieruff Comes Up Short

Louis E. Dieruff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the William Allen Canaries. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Canaries apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

Louis E. Dieruff's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for William Allen, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5-1.

Louis E. Dieruff and William Allen could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Huskies (ranked 311th) will meet Allentown Central Catholic (ranked 47th) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, William Allen will challenge Parkland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (297 vs. 67).
