Baseball Recap: Barron Takes a Loss

Barron lost to Hayward back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Golden Bears took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The Golden Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Barron saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zac Edwards, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Lucas Hagen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Barron's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Hayward, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Barron is set to square off against their familiar foe Cameron at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hayward will face off against rival Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
