Volleyball Recap: Bloomington North Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ally O'guinn and Jenna Newby

Bloomington North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Evansville North Huskies. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in October of 2023.

Bloomington North's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jenna Newby, who had five digs and two aces, and Ally O'Guinn, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Bloomington North's defeat dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Evansville North, their win bumped their record up to 28-2.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, Bloomington North and Martinsville will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Evansville North, they will take on Evansville Harrison at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
