Basketball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Dinuba

Dinuba won the last time they faced Mission Oak and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dinuba Emperors walked away with a 73-61 victory over the Mission Oak Hawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Emperors.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dinuba to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josiah Ochoa, who went 7-for-14 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Lopez, who posted nine points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds.

Dinuba smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Mission Oak still got an impressive performance from Anthony Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards. What's more, Jackson also posted a 64% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Malakai Rodriguez was another key player, putting up 19 points.

Dinuba's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Mission Oak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Dinuba has already played their next contest, a 58-55 defeat against Righetti on the 15th. Mission Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
