Baseball Recap: Etna Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

While Etna put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Maxwell. Etna walked away with a 3-0 victory over Maxwell. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Clayton Harris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Harris wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Elam, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Etna pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Maxwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.
