Softball Recap: Patapsco Takes a Loss

Patapsco extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 2-11 in the process. They lost 10-0 to the Franklin Indians. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Franklin, they moved to 6-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by ten runs or more this season.

For Franklin's part, Mia Cleveland was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Cleveland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanee Houser, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Patapsco is set to face off against their familiar foe Parkville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Franklin will take on rival Hereford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
