Football Game Preview: RePublic vs. Red Boiling Springs

RePublic have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Red Boiling Springs at 7:00 PM. Neither RePublic nor Red Boiling Springs could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.

RePublic were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their match against Jo Byrns last Friday. RePublic took a hard 6-21 fall against Jo Byrns. Despite the loss, RePublic saw an underclassman step up: Sophomore Jamarion McGee caught passes for 70 yards and punched in 1 rushing TD. In fact, with ten tackles White was a force on both sides of the ball.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Red Boiling Springs, and their matchup two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to six. They took a serious blow against Houston County two weeks ago, falling 0-36. The state rankings had actually given Red Boiling Springs a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
