Recap: Chickasaw Chieftains vs. Robertsdale Golden Bears
The Chickasaw Chieftains lost against the Robertsdale Golden Bears back in December of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Chickasaw ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-22 walloping at the hands of Robertsdale.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Robertsdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Johansen, who scored 17 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Johansen has scored at least 25% of Robertsdale's points. Another player making a difference was Mallorie Rothe, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Chickasaw has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Robertsdale, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.
Chickasaw will head out on the road to face off against St. Luke's Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Robertsdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McGill-Toolen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. McGill-Toolen's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so Robertsdale's offense will have their work cut out for Robertsdale.
