Basketball Game Preview: Blountstown Tigers vs. Sneads Pirates

The Blountstown Tigers will head out to face off against the Sneads Pirates at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Blountstown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.6 points per game this season.

Blountstown got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 47-39 win over Cottondale on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Blountstown found their leader in freshman Cyion Smith, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds. Smith has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Curtis Ellis, who posted 11 points.

Meanwhile, Sneads was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Munroe, falling 68-35.

Sneads' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Blountstown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Blountstown came up short against Sneads in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 56-44. Can Blountstown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
