Basketball Game Preview: Madison Blue Streaks vs. Lakeside Dragons

The Madison Blue Streaks will square off against the Lakeside Dragons at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Madison is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Madison is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Geneva on Wednesday. Madison walked away with a 37-27 win over Geneva.

Mac Steele and Parker Williams were among the main playmakers for Madison as the former posted 15 points and six rebounds and the latter had nine points and six rebounds. The game was Steele's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakotah Aufdenberg, who earned two points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Madison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Lakeside was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 56-52 to Edgewood. The Dragons have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The victory got Madison back to even at 2-2. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Madison was able to grind out a solid win over Lakeside in their previous meeting back in February, winning 63-52. Will Madison repeat their success, or does Lakeside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
