Baseball Recap: Carver A&T Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Carver A&T's offense. They lost 19-0 to New Town on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled against New Town recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Carver A&T saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Benjamin Arneklev, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Carver A&T's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for New Town, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver A&T will face off against Carver Vo-Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Town, they will challenge Owings Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.46 runs per game on average), something New Town will no doubt try to take advantage of.
