Baseball Game Preview: Dassel-Cokato Chargers vs. Litchfield Dragons

The Dassel-Cokato Chargers will challenge the Litchfield Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Dassel-Cokato fell victim to Rockford and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Litchfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Watertown-Mayer.

Dassel-Cokato's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Litchfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Dassel-Cokato skirted past Litchfield 4-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
