Basketball Recap: Gadsden City Comes Up Short

Gadsden City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 49-25 to the Hazel Green Trojans. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Gadsden City still got an impressive performance from Madison Tinker, who posted 18 points. Jakayla Orr also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Gadsden City's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Hazel Green, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Gadsden City has already played their next contest, a 65-28 defeat against Plainview on the 9th. As for Hazel Green, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-39 victory against Mae Jemison on the 9th.
