Baseball Game Preview: Paoli Rams vs. Mitchell Bluejackets

The Paoli Rams will square off against the Mitchell Bluejackets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Paoli's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Mitchell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Paoli didn't have quite enough to beat North Knox and fell 3-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Paoli saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Thornton, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mitchell walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Generals on Wednesday as they made off with a 7-1 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Bluejackets, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Paoli, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Paoli came up short against Mitchell in their previous matchup back in April, falling 8-5. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
