Pueblo South came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Palmer Ridge Bears a 3-0 shutout. For the Colts, this counts as revenge for the 5-3 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Pueblo South saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Nolasco, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Pueblo South pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Palmer Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pueblo South will welcome Sand Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pueblo South's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Sand Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Palmer Ridge, they will host Mead at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mead is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
