Basketball Recap: Rainier Comes Up Short

Rainier has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were outmatched by the Banks Braves and fell 60-29. While losing is never fun, the Columbians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Braves are ranked 28th).

Rainier's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Banks, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rainier will face off against Warrenton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rainier is facing Warrenton at the right time seeing as Warrenton is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Banks, they will square off against Corbett at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
