Baseball Recap: Fremont Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Fremont suffered their biggest defeat since June 8, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the New Haven Bulldogs, falling 16-4. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 8-5.

Fremont saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Hufnagle, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Colten Guthrie was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Fremont's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for New Haven, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, Fremont will head out to challenge Fort Wayne Canterbury at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for New Haven, they will take on Bellmont at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
