Basketball Recap: Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 47-25 to the Starkville Academy Volunteers. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.

Starkville Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sara Stokes McReynolds, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Couvillion, who earned 12 points.

Heritage Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Starkville Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-9.

Heritage Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Starkville Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-17 victory against Columbus Christian Academy on the 28th.
