Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Caroline Coles and Abigail Bellis Lead Charlotte Christian to Victory

Charlotte Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 54-41 win over the Metrolina Christian Academy Warriors. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 54-40 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Charlotte Christian was led to victory by Abigail Bellis and Caroline Coles. Bellis posted 18 points, while Coles shot 64% from the field to rack up 15 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Coles now owns an excellent 42.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Eboboko, who scored three points.

Charlotte Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlotte Christian will welcome Westminster Catawba Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians' defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Carmel Christian at 5:30 p.m.
