Softball Recap: Western Alamance Warriors vs. Seaforth Hawks
Western Alamance proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 18) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Seaforth Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since March 15, 2024.
Camryn Rodrigues spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Bayleigh Burris was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Justice, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
The victory got Western Alamance back to even at 4-4. As for Seaforth, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will venture away from home to face off against Southeast Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Western Alamance is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season. As for Seaforth, they will take on Jordan-Matthews at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
