Soccer Game Preview: Effingham County vs. Greenbrier

The Effingham County Rebels will challenge the Greenbrier Wolfpack at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Effingham County is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Savannah Christian get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Effingham County needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Greenbrier and Evans had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Greenbrier was the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over Evans on Friday. Considering Greenbrier have won six contests by more than six goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Greenbrier's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Effingham County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.
