Baseball Game Preview: Unity Reed Lions vs. Osbourn Park Yellowjackets

Unity Reed is on a five-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Osbourn Park a five-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Unity Reed Lions will be playing at home against the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Unity Reed lost 25-2 to Eastern View on Thursday.

Unity Reed saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hembree - SR, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Osbourn Park scored first but ultimately less than Battlefield in their contest on Friday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats.

Eli Laughman was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Laughman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Osbourn Park now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Unity Reed, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
