Alex Semet looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Miami got a massive performance out of Tyler Jenkins, who scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Jenkins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhuseph Mejias, who went 2-for-3 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple.
