Basketball Game Preview: Ferguson Falcons vs. Palmetto Panthers

Ferguson is 2-8 against Palmetto since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ferguson Falcons will face off against the Palmetto Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Ferguson will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Wednesday, Ferguson blew past Mourning, posting a 53-13 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 26 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ferguson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Diaz, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 16 points. Diaz is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Ivette Fernandez was another key player, putting up three points along with six steals and five assists.

Meanwhile, Palmetto ended up a good deal behind North Miami on Wednesday and lost 55-38. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ferguson pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.8 points. As for Palmetto, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
