Basketball Game Preview: St. Mary's Spartans vs. Norwell Clippers

St. Mary has won three straight games at home, while Norwell has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The St. Mary's Spartans will welcome the Norwell Clippers at 6:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

St. Mary's is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Massachusetts' top teams: Pittsfield, who was ranked ninth at the time (St. Mary's was ranked second). St. Mary's strolled past Pittsfield with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 59-43. 59 seems to be a good number for the Spartans as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Norwell won against Foxborough on Monday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Norwell beat Foxborough by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 55-47.

Norwell's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for St. Mary's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season.
