Soccer Recap: West Johnston Takes a Loss

West Johnston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 4-0 to the Sanderson Spartans. Israel Cruz was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

West Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sanderson, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

West Johnston wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Southeast Raleigh on the 22nd. As for Sanderson, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Cape Fear on the 22nd.
