Despite the loss, Faith Christian saw an underclassman step up: Maya Layton scored 39 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Layton's 17th in a row with at least ten points. Mattea Maggio was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Fort Wayne Northrop's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Faith Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
Fort Wayne Northrop will head out on the road to face off against Bellmont at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing at home against Delphi Community at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Delphi Community is ranked 196th, while Faith Christian is ranked 213th).
