Basketball Recap: Burlington Extends Winning Streak to Three

Burlington had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-45 win over the Stoneham Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 65-50 back in January.

Burlington's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Stoneham, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington will challenge Westford Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Stoneham, they will face off against Pentucket Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
