Basketball Recap: Logan Robinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Harrison over Pascagoula

After flying high against Hancock last Tuesday, West Harrison came back down to earth. The West Harrison Hurricanes fell to the Pascagoula Panthers 71-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (62), the Hurricanes still had to take the loss.

West Harrison's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Robinson, who went 6 of 8 to rack up 14 points. The dominant performance also gave Robinson a new career-high in field goal percentage (75%). JaMarcus McCalebb was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

West Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Pascagoula, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. West Harrison will face off against Jim Hill at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th. As for Pascagoula, they will challenge Pearl River Central at 6:00 p.m. on February 15th.
