Basketball Recap: Seffner Christian Comes Up Short

Seffner Christian won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They took a blow against the Bolles Bulldogs, falling 72-21. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

It was another big night for Abby Knauff, who went 10 for 15 on her way to 24 points in addition to six steals and five assists for Bolles. Knauff's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Freeman, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points along with seven assists and six boards.

With the defeat, Seffner Christian broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. As for Bolles, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Seffner Christian has already played their next game, a 47-28 victory against Indian Rocks Christian on the 16th. As for Bolles, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-43 win against Haines City on the 14th.
