Baseball Game Recap: Calhoun Red Devils vs. Ravenswood Red Devils

Calhoun extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 5-11 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-11 to Ravenswood, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Ravenswood this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-11 defeat on Wednesday.

As for Ravenswood, they moved to 9-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

For Ravenswood's part, Evan Swain was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Swain has posted since back in March. Cooper Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Calhoun has already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Wirt County on the 24th. Hopefully Ravenswood paid attention to Calhoun's match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on Calhoun at 4:30 p.m.
