Baseball Recap: Vallejo Takes a Loss

Vallejo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Jesse M. Bethel Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-6 on Wednesday.

David Bernstine III made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. He has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last five times he's played. Tyler Herrera was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Vallejo's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Jesse M. Bethel, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14-1.

As of now, neither Vallejo nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
