Volleyball Recap: Jubilee Comes Up Short

Jubilee had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lopez Lobos. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Jasmine Cortinas had a dynamite game For Lopez., getting 18 digs, 13 kills, and two aces. That's the most kills Cortinas has posted over her last 11 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephanie Ochoa, who had five digs and three aces.

Lopez is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Jubilee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lopez, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Lasara on the 29th.
