Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Independence). They strolled past the Garinger Wildcats with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 46-27. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their 19-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Independence's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-18. As for Garinger, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
