Preview: Randolph County Tigers vs. Beulah Bobcats
Randolph County is 3-0 against Beulah since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Randolph County Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Beulah Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Randolph County is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Randolph County might've scored the first points on Thursday, but it was Wellborn who claimed the real prize. Randolph County fell to Wellborn 30-25.
Randolph County's loss came about despite a quality game from Maurice Winston, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also picked up 72 receiving yards. Winston's longest reception was for an incredible 72 yards.
Meanwhile, Beulah had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 26-16 win over Childersburg on Thursday.
Beulah's win bumped their season record to 3-4 while Randolph County's defeat dropped theirs to 6-1.
Everything came up roses for Randolph County against Beulah when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 47-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Randolph County since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
