Basketball Game Preview: LEE Volunteers vs. SA Roosevelt Rough Riders

LEE and SA Roosevelt are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The LEE Volunteers will face off against the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. LEE has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 22.

On Tuesday, LEE ended up a good deal behind Brandeis and lost 72-56. While losing is never fun, the Volunteers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 731st, while the Broncos are ranked 189th).

Meanwhile, SA Roosevelt was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 49-43 to Johnson. The Rough Riders haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

SA Roosevelt now has a losing record at 7-8. As for LEE, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

LEE barely slipped by SA Roosevelt in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 61-60. Will LEE repeat their success, or does SA Roosevelt have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
