Football Game Preview: Calera Eagles vs. Spain Park Jaguars + How To Watch

Calera is 0-3 against Spain Park since August of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will host the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Calera got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They blew past Chilton County 41-16. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Calera had a senior duo take command as Jordan Henderson rushed for 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries and Jordan Ward threw for 174 yards and two TDs. With that strong performance, Henderson is now averaging an impressive 112 rushing yards per game.

Calera was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 324 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Spain Park humbled Chelsea with a 44-7 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Spain Park's win came from a few key players Calera will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brock Bradley, who threw for 291 yards and four TDs while completing 78.3% of his passes. He is becoming a predictor of Spain Park's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Mason McClure was another key player, picking up 133 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
