Despite being held scoreless in second half, Lions come away with big victory over in-state power.

After receiving more than 8,500 votes, Jarvis Johnson of Westminster Christian (Miami) is the MaxPreps Florida High School Football Player of the Week.

The senior running back carried 17 times for 259 yards and three touchdowns in a 30-21 victory over Somerset Academy South Homestead (Homestead).

Here are the rest of this week's candidates, who collectively garnered more than 6,000 votes:

Cedrick Bailey, Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood): North Carolina State commit completed 28 of 41 pass attempts for 321 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-28 victory over nationally-ranked Miami Central. Also carried four times for 38 yards.

Noah Elias, Orangewood Christian (Maitland): Senior running back carried 24 times for 264 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 36-22 triumph over Bishop McLaughlin Catholic (Spring Hill).

Noah Grubbs, Lake Mary: Sophomore quarterback completed 23 of 34 pass attempts for 381 yards and six touchdowns in a 42-7 victory over Spruce Creek (Port Orange).

Andrew Heidel, Manatee (Bradenton): Junior quarterback connected on 23 of 40 pass attempts for 412 yards and four touchdowns in a 31-24 victory over Port Charlotte.

Teddy Hoffmann, Saint Andrew's (Boca Raton): Junior wide receiver hauled in seven receptions for 217 yards and three touchdowns in a 62-28 victory over North Broward Prep (Coconut Creek).

Haden Klees, Wakulla (Crawfordville): Senior quarterback completed 26 of 40 pass attempts for 347 yards and five touchdowns in a 45-21 win over Mosley (Lynn Haven).

Damarion Rowe, St. Petersburg Catholic (St. Petersburg): Sophomore running back carried 27 times for 275 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-15 victory over Neumann (Naples).

Jaelin Sneed, East Bay (Gibsonton): Senior running back carried 13 times for 281 yards and five touchdowns in a 64-0 blowout of Jefferson (Tampa).

Blake Wallace, Spanish River (Boca Raton): Junior wide receiver hauled in nine receptions for 193 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-0 win against Dr. Joaquin Garcia (Lake Worth).
