Basketball Recap: Arianna Hill's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Toombs County over Savannah Country Day

Toombs County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 53-41 to the Savannah Country Day Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Hornets are ranked 160th).

Toombs County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Arianna Hill, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brinley Miller, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Toombs County's record is now 2-9. As for Savannah Country Day, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Toombs County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 33-30 defeat against Dublin on the 14th. Savannah Country Day has also already played their next contest, a 67-51 victory against St. Vincent's on the 14th.
