Softball Game Preview: Todd County Central Rebels vs. Franklin-Simpson Wildcats

Todd County Central hasn't had much luck against Franklin-Simpson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Todd County Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Todd County Central turned things around against Glasgow on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Scotties.

Ella Hall was excellent, earning one RBI, two runs, and three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Rylann Griggs also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Todd County Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Franklin-Simpson posted their closest win since April 15th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Westmoreland 10-8. The high-scoring effort was just what the Wildcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The win snapped Franklin-Simpson's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-13-1 record. As for Todd County Central, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Todd County Central suffered a grim 19-1 defeat to Franklin-Simpson in their previous matchup on Wednesday. Can the Rebels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
