Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lexis Moore and Sydney Moore Lead Bandera to Victory

Bandera had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Northeast Early College Raiders on Friday. The BULLDOGS have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

Leading Bandera to victory were Sydney Moore and Lexis Moore. Sydney had eight kills, six digs, and three aces, while Lexis had nine assists and six aces. That's the most aces Sydney has posted since back in August of 2024. Jessi Battle was another key player, getting four aces.

They weren't the only good server: Bandera was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

Bandera's record is now 6-7. As for Northeast Early College, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Bandera will face off against Young Women's Leadership Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Northeast Early College, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McCallum at 6:30 p.m. on September 2.
