Soccer Game Preview: Lenoir City vs. Walker Valley

The Lenoir City Panthers will face off against the Walker Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Lenoir City is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Sequoyah a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Lenoir City's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Sequoyah are ranked 244th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in March, Walker Valley was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and East Hamilton finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

Walker Valley's goal came courtesy of Camden Waldrop, who's now up to four this season.

Lenoir City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four games. Walker Valley's draw gives them a new season record of 6-2-3.
