Softball Recap: Pisgah Has No Trouble Against West Jones

Pisgah never let their opponents score on Saturday. They put the hurt on the West Jones Mustangs with a sharp 12-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Ally Young made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Young was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Cooper, who went a perfect3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maddi Byrd, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Pisgah now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Pisgah will take on Sebastopol at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Jones has already played their next match (against Seminary), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
