            Baseball Recap: Chartiers Valley Colts vs. South Fayette Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Chartiers Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings  game against South Fayette  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of  3-2. The  match marked the Colts' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Jules Prozzoly was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over 5.1 innings pitched.
 On the hitting side, Chartiers Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Michael Switala, who  went 1-for-4 with one  double and one  RBI.  Tyler Hughes also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
Chartiers Valley now  has a losing record of 3-4. As for South Fayette, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
While Chartiers Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday.
