Volleyball Recap: Rising Sun Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Rising Sun had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the New Washington Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Shiners also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Rising Sun never let New Washington on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-11, 25-15.

Liv Graver paced Rising Sun's offense, picking up seven kills. Graver got some help from Reese Merica and her 24 assists. Merica was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Rising Sun's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for New Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Looking ahead, Rising Sun will be taking part in a tournament against East Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Washington, they will welcome Borden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
