Basketball Recap: West Jefferson Takes a Loss

West Jefferson played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Newman Greenies and fell 53-20. The Buccaneers were down 44-13 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Keyana Butler was West Jefferson's leading scorer, having posted nine points.

West Jefferson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Newman, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 6-11.
